This is not socialism we're about to embark on, it's a form of fascism.
State control of certain key industries, shaping public opinion to always support the State and labeling dissent as "unpatriotic" or at least the work of "community organizers" is what fascism in America will look like at first.
Putin's Russia is a pretty good fascist state. Geoge W. Bush saw that in Putin's eyes and he liked what he saw.
You know, fascists still get to listen to any music they want, engage in culturally "risky" behavior, etc. But at the end of the day, you work for the State and the wealthy corporate elite that runs it.
Hard to believe it's the Republican Party that has made this its most important work of the past 30 years.
Had they put this much effort in overturning Roe V. Wade, abortion would be flat out illegal by now.
