Looks like the US will not be hosting the 2016 Olympics, after all.
I hear Madrid's a pretty nice town.

time to start saving my pennies for my South American trip.
UPDATE: Josh notes that conservatives are absolutely gleeful. Even Reuters headlined their story "IOC Rebuffs Obama."
Guess nobody noticed who the President of Brazil is.

You're probably right. With London hosting in 2012, and with SA never having hosted the games, Rio makes more sense.
