Last year, Costco had put up one of those god-awful "musical" Christmas trees on the day after Labor Day. I should not be hearing a MIDI version of "Frosty the Snowman" when I'm still wearing shorts and flip-flops.
in defense of Costco, they had the good sense to sell matzoh in March. A lot of hoity-toity Trinity Park types came running my way when I casually mentioned on the listserv that I had spare boxes for Passover seder.
Since 1949, Durhamites have slept soundly, secure in the knowledge that, in our town, erection can be depended upon. Now, thanks to the power of the internets, we can spread that security all over the world.
