Drought update
An anonymous commenter tells me that the city is now including the Teer Reservoir in its water supply status reports. You'd think that would have been worth a big announcement, no? With Teer, we're at 112 days of so-called "premium" water, that is water above the intakes that doesn't have to be pumped, and that's relatively free of the sludge from the bottom of the lake.
That's still less than 4 months in the tank, however.
Inflows have dropped below the replenishment rate of about 31 cfs, based on average usage of 20 million gallons per day.
So, don't wash your cars just yet, and hold back on flushing as long as you can. There's no rain in the forecast for the next week.
