Congratulations to the Beavers of Oregon State University on back to back NCAA College World Series victories.

A good year for beavers.

But not so much for Tar Heels, who lost the national championship to the Beavs for the second year in a row.

I had a lot of fun watching CWS this week. The announcers were great. Unlike in MLB broadcasts, they spent a lot of time explaining and commenting on both strategy and execution throughout the games. I learned a lot and enjoyed it all the more.

Here at the Beaver Lodge Local 1504, we're big supporters of all things Beaver, and proud members of Beaver Nation.

The only disappointment for me is that a thorough search of the internets did not reveal anyone selling replicas of those cool "BEAVERS" home jerseys, with the old school wood cut type.

Orel Hershiser is a little too gabby for me as an announcer. Not quite at Rick Sutcliffe levels, but i prefer my ballgames to have a little aural white space in them at times.

Is it better to be a Tar Heel fan and be told by an OSU supporter to "Kiss my Beaver," than to be rooting for the Beavers and be scolded by michael?
