Doing the "Wright" thing - followup
OK, so i didn't get to meet Steven Wright the other night at the Carolina Theatre.
See, the first time i saw him, either on Johnny Carson or the Letterman show back around 1983, he told this one joke that makes me laugh every time i go the beach:
"I have the world's largest seashell collection. I keep it on beaches around the globe. Perhaps you've seen it?"
So i was hoping to give Steven one of my shells, apologize for having stolen it when i was younger, but ignorant of the fact that it was his, and ask him to sign it. Kinda like this:

I wonder if he chuckled, or if this wasn't the first time someone's asked for that particular autograph?
Thanks, Connie!

Since 1949, Durhamites have slept soundly, secure in the knowledge that, in our town, erection can be depended upon. Now, thanks to the power of the internets, we can spread that security all over the world.
