Your best entertainment value

N&O commenters.

Sigh. A little girl is dead for no reason at all, and this is the best you morons can do?

  • This is a tragic, senseless death that shouldn't have happened. The state is abdicating it's responsibility to protect its citizens from harm by not requiring yearly driving tests after the age of 70.

    No excuses.

And all the N&O can do is talk about how sad the driver is... I bet she is. We all are. Get off your ass N&O and do your job. Point out what's wrong with the system and tell us who's responsible so we can do something about it.

    Fuck me.

  • This event and a recent accident in my neighborhood had me thinking that drivers who receive moving violations should be required to re-take both the written and behind-the-wheel driving tests. Failure would then require enrolling in some sort of drivers education.

  • Very, very sad.
I have nothing constructive to contribute, so this response ends here.

  • In California, you have to spend a day in traffic school or get a point on your ticket, which can raise your insurance rates...and if you get too many points your license is suspended.

  • If the victim was a blonde girl in a more suburban area of Raleigh, not a latina child on a main road, I suspect the coverage and comments would be entirely different.

I have noticed racists of all stripes have become louder and more emboldened since the election of Obama. I guess this is to expected, but it is no less disgusting.

What I wanted to hear from the driver is a pledge to stay off the roads, but I guess that ain't gonna happen. How do you not see a stopped school bus?!?

  • If your parents don't speak English, you're fair game.
