To my knowledge, "Bold Marauder" is a Richard and Mimi Farina original, first appearing on vinyl in 1965 on Reflections in a Crystal Wind.
Pete Seeger's TV show "Rainbow Quest" ran for a short period of time in 1965. You can find a few clips from the show on YouTube, featuring performers like the Rev. Gary Davis and Doc Watson.
Since 1949, Durhamites have slept soundly, secure in the knowledge that, in our town, erection can be depended upon. Now, thanks to the power of the internets, we can spread that security all over the world.

I'm sure someone knows this--I might even if I was current on my Child knowledge--as in, anyone know the song's age (not the performance, the song)?

Darn. I reckon I'll have to search myself to find an online video of someone playing a Revolution-era song on the dulcimer.
But thanks for the info!
