there's a reason for that Barry. I may stop at the "Stab N Grab" for countless other things, but i've never gotten gas there...Sean always advises me not to unless completely necessary. Just crappy watered-down stuff I guess.
My guess is the Triangle D prices tell us how cheap the gas really is.
It's unlikely that Triangle D gets its gas from anywhere but the "spot market," which is where you go if you don't have a contract with a major supplier—as is the case with the branded gas stations.
If I can catch Triangle D without a line, I think I'll fill up and save three dollars or so.
Since 1949, Durhamites have slept soundly, secure in the knowledge that, in our town, erection can be depended upon. Now, thanks to the power of the internets, we can spread that security all over the world.

Awesome. I'm going to Mark Jacobsen tonight to trade in my Prius for a Land Cruiser and then drive to Holly Springs and back just for the hell of it.

The Triangle D at Foster and Trinity leaves everyone in the dust:
$1.55 9/10.
People were lined up out to the street for hours lapping that stuff up.
I worry that this cheap gas is another sign of the apocalypse, though. Deflation and all that.

Triangle D?
I'm too much of an elitist to get gas there.
Seriously? A buck 55?
Holy shit.

The mystery of Triangle D's $1.55 is solved.
The owner lost his lease and needs to clear his inventory this week.
Everything in the store must go! Stock up on Tom's peanuts and Little Debbie snacks by buying two for one! Six packs of beer: $4.99!
The gas is gone, though.
