Rockin' the vote
I heard a rumor about this show, but now that it's been confirmed, here's the details: Billy Bragg, Superchunk, The dBs, and a whole host of local bands (including personal faves Regina Hexaphone) will be doing a free show on Saturday at Graham Terrace, next to Morehead Planetarium on the UNC campus in Chapel Hill. It's an early vote/GOTV rally and as far as i can tell, it kicks off at 11 9 am.
More details when they're available.
UPDATE: Caught up with one of the performers tonight at BSC (Hi Peter!). Portastatic is supposed to kick things off at 9am, The dBs will be on right after Billy Bragg at 12:45. So if you want to see Billy, i'd recommend arriving by 10:45.

Hmm. All the info about the show to date has listed the runtimes as being 9 a.m. til 1 p.m. (to correspond with the early-voting hours).
The NC BOE just announced that they're extending early voting on Saturday until 5:00 p.m. now, though, so I'm wondering whether the times for the show are also going to change.

show is still scheduled for the 9 AM -1 PM timeframe though i think the dB's set will likely run past 1...
