and un-American if you want, but i think what i'd most like to see right now is a discussion, in public, between the two candidates for President, of exactly what their positions are regarding our financial crisis, how it happened, who's responsible, and what needs to be done about it.

Did anyone notice the part in the 3-page proposal from the Hardly Boys (Bernanke & Poulson) about how NO ONE in their plan will be subjected to oversight, or even the threat of litigation if they screw the pooch again?
Also, is it me, or am I hearing a lot of bi-partisan support for NO BAILOUT and especially NO RUSH TO JUDGEMENT?
Amazing what a Congress out of Republican hands can do.

Amen, brother. Aside from McCain calling for Cox's firing, the two candidates seem to be in lockstep on the bailout. It's like they can't wait to get their hands on the money.
