The world is my closet
A couple of photos from our neighborhood park cleanup today.
I left the boots on the tree. They looked like someone might be back for them sometime.
On the other hand, Luann Young's 1984 Christmas bonus check is in safe hands. If anyone knows Luann, let her know we found the check. Maybe it's still good.

That check is from 1984? And is still in fairly good condition. That's astounding. They don't make 'em like they used to--if they make them at all anymore.
Nice boots.
Kudos on the park clean-up!

My guess on the check is that it was in someone's house/attic most of the intervening years, and only recently got tossed into the woods. We've done at least 5 cleanups in the 7 years that i've been back in Duke Park and not come across it before.
We also recovered some stolen property belonging to a neighbor.

Ah, that makes sense about the check.
Excellent to have recovered property for a neighbor too.

I wonder how long it has been since Planters National Bank was around-? And was their mascot that dude with the monocle and spats, etc?

Two "boot" posts in a row?
Was the check canceled?
