The beavers behind the K-Mart shopping center on Avondale Dr., just north of I-85, are doing what beavers are supposed to do - create wetland habitat and purify water.

If i were an elected official in Durham, i would be doing whatever i could to turn this totally natural and unplanned wetland into a nature preserve and destination.
