There's a very lovely flower in the tropics that very purposefully puts out the strong aroma of fresh, fetid manure. (It's fly pollinated.) But yeah, Bradford pears stink.
Since 1949, Durhamites have slept soundly, secure in the knowledge that, in our town, erection can be depended upon. Now, thanks to the power of the internets, we can spread that security all over the world.

Burnt rubber smell. Not very allergenic to me, but just, yuck.
