Last night's storms and the resulting power outages forced a change in our Mother's Day brunch plans this morning so we headed to north Durham to try someplace different and unaffected.

thanks. i went to urbandictionary.com, but all they told me is that doobie still means what it did when i was in school.

I was pretty sure about the hair thing, but also went to UD for a check. Had to click through several pages before I got the first "alternate definition" that mentioned hair. Then said "eff-it" and tried "doobies hairstyle".

It's just a way of wrapping the hair around the head, using one's head like a giant curler. Then when the hair is brushed out, it has body and curve without the discomfort of sleeping on rollers.
