I've got room in my music library for both the Clash and Bromberg. (As Adam Sandler might say, both Jewish, at least Joe Strummer, anyway.)
There's not enough Bromberg on YouTube. A bunch of songs with him and Hot tuna from the 80s at a Chicago session, and the piece from last night, and another one i'm going to put up tonight. A few folks have taken some recordings and set them with a still photo of Bromberg (specifically, "The Holdup," the song he wrote with George Harrison, which was what i was looking for when i got on the Bromberg kick.) And there's a video of "Sharon," but embedding has been disabled on that one.
I'm going to cycle through some more folk inflected stuff for the next month or so. Might get into the punk stuff later on this year.
Since 1949, Durhamites have slept soundly, secure in the knowledge that, in our town, erection can be depended upon. Now, thanks to the power of the internets, we can spread that security all over the world.
