To be fair, the list is the best "small cities" to live in.
that's why i was surprised to see North Hempstead, which is actually one of 3 townships in Nassau County, within which there are numerous incorporated villages. It's definitely not a city.
I've visited five of the places on this list (Plymouth, Columbia, Eagan, Piscataway, and Apple Valley), and each of them qualifies as the "I would end up with my head in the oven within a year" kind of place for me.
I think the headline got cut off. I think it's supposed to be "Best Places To Live If You Like Rotting in Boredom."
I guess I don't consider an entity a "city" in anything other than a legal sense if it is a suburb of a larger city, and has borders that run smoothly into other suburbs on all sides...I think both North Hempstead and Sunnyvale are entities within sprawls. Sunnyvale doesn't even have much of a downtown, unless you count a block behind the Town & Country mall. Nearby cities of Palo Alto, Mountain View, Campbell and Los Gatos all have bona fide downtowns.
But they have far fewer mobile home parks, so they probably lost out on the affordability rating.
Since 1949, Durhamites have slept soundly, secure in the knowledge that, in our town, erection can be depended upon. Now, thanks to the power of the internets, we can spread that security all over the world.

The best place to live in the Bay Area is Sunnyvale???
They were smoking crack when they made this list.
Someday I'd like to see a list made by people who appreciate culture, or nature, or beauty.
