I don't watch a lot of golf, so maybe one of my readers can tell me why Rocco Mediate was wearing a peace sign belt buckle during the (not so) final round of the US Open today? Photo yoinked from AP. Hopefully this constitutes fair use.
garrrrrrrrrrrrrr! now I see that crazy little ASCII guy, which indicates "I get it, right back at you," Intarwebs-style!
p.s. heard you're curious about the venture. I have the perfect spot lined up, but someone else may be renting all gazillion square feet of this particular space, while I only need around 8,000.
it's actually just a smiley for a guy with glasses and a goatee.
keep us posted on the venue search. Durham sorely needs what you have to offer. I still think the space that formerly housed Blaylock's/the Edge would be perfect.
Since 1949, Durhamites have slept soundly, secure in the knowledge that, in our town, erection can be depended upon. Now, thanks to the power of the internets, we can spread that security all over the world.

While it looks like a peace symbol, keep in mind it's upside down from his perspective.
As I understand it, it's a reminder for him to stretch his arms before swinging.
Great match over the weekend...and hopefully tomorrow, too!

oh, Barry, I'm so sorry. That was intended to be a joke. The problem was that it wasn't funny at all, so it seemed somewhat logical.
I will try harder next time.
