Persepolis
I'm pretty sure none of you come here for the movie reviews, but you really owe it to yourself to go see Persepolis while you can.
It's a funny, moving, wise, and ultimately human coming of age story whose cultural touchstones unexpectedly resonate with our own. That the resonance is unexpected is significant, i think, but i'll let you judge that for yourself. The scene where Marjane sneaks through the back streets of Teheran trying to score a bootleg Iron Maiden cassette is especially hilarious. It's on trailer 2 at Rotten Tomatoes.
Persepolis is at the Chelsea on Weaver Dairy Rd. for a few more days. After that, you'll probably have to wait for the DVD.
