I guess secessionism can count as "pro-American' these days.
Palin also made a point of mentioning that she loved to visit the "pro-America" areas of the country, of which North Carolina is one.

Palin pals around with secessionists. She even sleeps with one, her husband, Todd. Who seems to have taken on a one-man crusade to redefine the office of Governor for the state of Alaska.
Read any account of how Todd "manages things" for his wife. I wasn't too crazy about Hillary Clinton running things in the Clinton White House and I am certainly against Todd running things for a possible VP Palin.
